The Colosseum is exactly what I thought it would be and much more. The 2,000 year old structure doesn't fail to impress. Joe and I followed the audio guided tour around the magnificient buliding and let our imaginations run wild with actions of the gladitors, wild animals, screaming and cheering romans! The audio guide even mentioned that at one time the romans constructed a giant whale and had 50 bears come out of it for show. It must have been a lot of fun living in that era! We also walked around the Ancient Roman city and saw the remains of the Forum and many other ancient structures. Rome is undeniably a beautiful city, one with so much history. Tomorrow is our next day in Rome, so stay tuned for our next update!
Ciao!
